Tell us a little about Black Pelican Catering. How would you describe your catering services and food?

Black Pelican Catering is located in Kitty Hawk, NC. As one of the largest and longest operating restaurants and catering companies on the Outer Banks, we take pride in providing you and your guests with the best food and hospitality on the beach! Our talented and culinary trained chefs create each menu to your desire using the freshest and finest ingredients, while also providing extreme caution to detail and exceptional presentation. 

We specialize in seafood dishes with a Southern and Outer Banks flare, but there is not much our guys can’t cook! Our team is constantly leading the way with innovative menu items and show stopping cuisine. Our onsite team will take care of you like you’re family, as well as all of your guests, making a memorable and lasting impression by cooking, serving and cleaning up while you sit back, relax and enjoy your big day!

What type of weddings do you cater here? Large? Small? Where?

We cater all events – large and small! Black Pelican Catering can accommodate anything, from a dinner with friends to a large 500 guest reception. From weddings to galas, our team can handle a group of any size. As one of the largest companies on the beach, we take pride in our ability to cater multiple events on the same day, seamlessly. 

We offer services from Corolla to Hatteras.

The Black Pelican was not only one of the first OBX restaurants, but it was also one of the very first catering companies leading the way for over 25 years!

What makes the Outer Banks most special to us is the wonderful community it has and the amazing tourists that come from all over the world to be a part of it! 

What trends are you most excited to see in upcoming weddings?

Every year is different and that’s what makes the wedding industry so much fun!! I guess we will have to wait and see.
