Real Outer Banks Wedding

One special thing about hiring Outer Banks Wedding Association vendors is that they are all experienced when it comes to turning a Plan B into an unforgettable day despite it not being quite in line with your original plans. For Jill and Keith, a looming storm resutled in a rapid change of venue. Their original plan was to get married on the beach outside of their rental home, but with rain in the forecast, they knew they needed to make other arrangements. Luckily, their planner worked steadfast to deliver not one but three alterative venues to hold their intimate wedding the very next day. Even though their storybook wedding was not the original plan, it ended up being everything they wanted and more!

From the Couple

Please tell us more about your wedding and what made it special to you.

What made our wedding special was having our children by our sides, the charm of the Outer Banks, and then all the vendors that made our day come together beautifully, despite a horrible storm! A beach destination wedding was very exciting for our family, but we knew we were taking a gamble planning it for November. Unfortunately our wedding day did not turn out as we had originally planned, but we feel it turned out even better than our Plan A!
Each and every vendor was so personable and spent the time talking to us beforehand to get to know us, our desires for our wedding day, and they all delivered wonderfully. We can’t say enough good things about our experience in the Outer Banks!

Please tell us why you chose the Outer Banks for your wedding.

We chose the Outer Banks because we wanted a beach destination wedding and one of our children and his family lives close by in Raleigh, within driving distance. When we looked up OBX to investigate as a possible location, we loved the options there for hosting our wedding ceremony, plus the charm of the Banks and all the activities they had to offer our family while we were there.
