The Outer Banks Wedding Expo is the largest wedding planning event on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Held each year during Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend, this three-day event brings together top OBX wedding vendors, venues, and planners to help couples plan their destination wedding.
Throughout the weekend, couples can meet vendors, explore venue options, discover wedding trends, and take advantage of exclusive Expo specials and giveaways.
Join other attendees and wedding vendors for a "Winter Western" Welcome Party, the ultimate event to kick off an unforgettable weekend of wedding planning! From crave-worthy food and an open bar to diverse live music and interactive vendor experiences, this event is all about celebrating and showcasing the best of the OBX event community!
You will redeem your tickets and receive a wristband and other items at the Welcome Party to make entry into Saturday’s Expo venues quicker. Western-inspired looks are highly encouraged—think elevated western, winter layers, statement boots, fringe, denim, and a little desert-meets-coast energy. We can't wait for this epic party!
Meet with local wedding vendors at the Wedding Expo on Saturday, January 16th from 10a to 3p at 108 Budleigh, The Waterfront Trellis, and Roanoke Island Festival Park.
Talk ideas with planners, find a photographer that you connect with, enjoy samples, and take advantage of special Expo-only deals and discounts!
Check in and redemption for all ticket holders will take place at 1587 starting at 10a. Tickets are available for purchase day-of. Wristbands are required to enter the Expo venues.

Take advantage of this exclusive opportunity to tour the Outer Banks’ best wedding venues! The Wedding Tour is self-guided and will take place at various venues and businesses located all over the Outer Banks, from Manteo to Carova.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet with Expo vendors again as some will be located at Tour stops. These vendors are referred to as “Secondary Vendors.” A complete list of vendors can be found on the Vendors Page.
All ticket holders are welcome to attend the Wedding Tour and must present a wristband to visit Tour Stop and Open House locations.
Your Expo ticket gives you a full weekend to plan your wedding!
FRIDAY
On Friday, you can redeem your tickets and other items at the Pavilion at Pirate's Cove from 6-8p. Come dressed in your "Winter Western" attire and enjoy interactive stations, live music and a DJ, and plenty of caterers along with an open bar!
SATURDAY
On Saturday, vendors of all kinds will be spread across three Manteo venues — 108 Budleigh, The Waterfront Trellis, and Roanoke Island Festival Park — giving you plenty to discover as you move from venue to venue.
🎟️ One Wristband, Three Venues
Once you’ve redeemed your ticket and received your wristband at either the Friday Welcome Party or The Tranquil House Inn on Saturday, you can visit any of the three Expo venues throughout the day. No separate ticket is needed at each location.

🥂 Complimentary Bubbles
Pick up a complimentary glass of bubbles when you check in at The Tranquil House Inn & 1587 Restaurant. Already checked in and received your wristband at Friday night’s Welcome Party? You can still stop by Tranquil House Inn during the Expo to enjoy your bubbles.
📸 Photo Booth Memories
Capture a little Expo-day memory at the photo booth at The Tranquil House Inn. If you checked in at the Welcome Party, you’re welcome to stop by anytime during the Expo.
🍿 Expo Intermission at The Pioneer Theater
Need a break from wedding inspiration? The Pioneer Theater will be open throughout the Expo as an intermission spot, with free popcorn and a wedding-related movie playing throughout the day. Grab a snack, take a seat, and recharge before heading back out to explore.
SUNDAY
On Sunday, visit one of the many open houses on the Wedding Tour. Some locations will have secondary vendors for you to meet with (photographers, caterers, and more).
You can redeem pre-purchased tickets at the Welcome Party on Friday, January 15th from 6-8p, or you may redeem them at the Tranquil House Inn on Saturday morning where Expo Check-in is beginning at 10a. Tickets can also be purchased day-of.
Early redemption is encouraged at Friday’s event so that you can head straight to any Expo venue (108 Budleigh, The Waterfront Trellis, and Roanoke Island Festival Park).
