A second wedding for both the bride and groom, they wanted to create a very unique wedding day that would capture the essence of their love of nature and each other, life’s simple pleasures, and the blending of their two families. It was important to attend to every detail as the bride is a seasoned professional wedding planner and the groom has made a second career in landscaping.

Together they transformed their beach house yard in the woods into a mystical wedding wonderland with a casual, full of love, bohemian festival vibe. Embracing traditional details as well as very non-traditional, they buried the bourbon to ensure good weather. The couple also incorporated a serious ‘Over the Moon’ detail with a 12’ crescent moon for photo ops and chose to have each of their grandchildren carry lights for their at dusk ceremony in their ‘Circle of Trust’ they created around their fire pit.

They also provided a fun temporary mixed metallic tattoo bar and make-your-own smudge stick bar for their guests to enjoy. The groom added celestial quotes on ornate mirrors nestled in the trees to further transport each guest into the middle of a fairytale wedding. The color palette was a symphony of shades and hues from nature, accented with feathers, ferns, pampas plumes, vines, low rolling fog, and a magnificent lightingscape.

Many couples dream of an Outer Banks Wedding unlike any other and this couple proves whatever the vision or venue, dreams do come true. With the right team, any space can be transformed.
