Real Outer Banks Wedding

In just three months, Courtney and Eric went from daydreaming about their OBX wedding to creating life-lasting memories. Their wedding day (and week) provided their guests with a magical celebration in the remote area of Carova, the northern-most destination on the Outer Banks. They opted for a neutral color palette with greenery, cream colored roses, and pampas grass, and paired that with black bridesmaids dresses and ties to create a romantic, classic combination. You will swoon at the beauty of this wedding nestled among the rolling dunes and the romantic atmosphere their team of vendors created.

Please tell us more about your wedding and what made it special to you.

It was one for the record books! If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that the most important thing is being together and enjoying life with friends and family so that’s what we did! We had a week long celebration full of wonderful new memories with lifelong friends and family. They all really showed up for us considering they had less than 3 months notice! People traveled from every corner of the US via planes, trains, and (sandy) automobiles!

Please tell us why you chose the Outer Banks for your wedding.

After a long engagement, courtesy of 2020, we hadn’t seen friends and family in so long that the thought of one or two nights for our wedding with everyone together just didn’t seem like enough…Eric and I both grew up visiting OBX then made our own memories going together a few times each year. On a bit of a day dream, I stumbled across The Chesapeake and showed it to Eric….he said let’s do it so I got to work! We booked the house, then found Tony and his team and the rest was as easy as it gets. We had THE BEST TIME and loved reminiscing when we went back this summer to Duck. We’ve stay in just about every town in the Outer Banks at this point…we love it all but Corolla definitely holds a particularly special place in our hearts.
